Local artists and creatives, listen up! It’s your chance to add your own design to the streets of Huntsville.
Downtown Huntsville Inc. and PNC are calling for entries to give away 12 micro-grants for people to add creativity to the city. The goal is to get people downtown and improve business and diversity. They also aim to inspire innovation in the artsy tech hub.
You have to submit a one-page idea and you could get awarded about $500 for your project.
“The idea is for people to come down and to just explore and to maybe have a new experience that they haven’t had before,” said Hayley Bair Sanders. “So the ‘Hello Huntsville’ mural, that encourages people to come downtown. So things like that just catches people’s attention and encourages people to come downtown and see.”
Expect to start seeing new art pieces popping up around Huntsville before December.
