Learning to drive is a critical skill for young people trying to pursue a Great Future. Many teens and young adults lack the support, resources, or information needed to obtain a driver's license.
The Driver’s Academy course at Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama is a Workforce Readiness program is a free resource designed to prepare young people to:
Take their driver’s license exam
Legally operate a motor vehicle
Create a plan to get a job and purchase a vehicle
Communicate with law enforcement
Teens who develop these skills have a higher likelihood of:
Staying in school and continuing their education
Obtaining and keeping a job
Establishing a career track

Our Mission
BGCNAL is part of a nationwide organization (Boys & Girls Clubs of America) that is working to help young people of all backgrounds develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens and leaders.
The BGCNAL is a 501c3 non-profit organization operating 15 Club sites across North Alabama. The organization employs 25 professional staff supplemented by up to 120 part-time staff and hundreds of volunteers, and offers daily access to a broad range of programs in five core program areas:
