FLORENCE, Ala. — Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services has partnered with North Shore Animal League America for the 24th annual Tour For Life. To celebrate, they will offer $25 adoption fees and giveaways starting on Monday, April 8 through Sunday, April 14. The week-long event will also feature vendors and food trucks at the shelter.
The 2024 Tour For Life, supported by Rachael Ray and Nutrish, is the largest cooperative pet adoption event globally. It will host adoption events in 60 cities across 37 states. The mission of Tour For Life is to raise awareness about homeless animals nationwide, spotlight the work of local rescue groups and shelters, and help give animals a home. North Shore Animal League America, as the world's largest no-kill rescue and adoption organization, has saved more than 1.1 million lives.
