Florence Utilities to offer a new way to pay

Drive-Thru payment center opens August 19

FLORENCE, Ala. — Florence Utilities will soon offer a new way for customers to pay their bills. A new Drive-Thru Utilities Payment Center will offer residents a convenient location to drop off payments for those who prefer to not use the online option.

This payment center will open directly behind the Home Depot across the street from the Wood Store on August 19. The drive-thru option at City Hall will permanently close on August 16 at noon.

Florence Utilities customer service operations including account information, starting or changing accounts, and collections will still be taken care of at Florence City Hall. Cashiers at City Hall will still continue to accept payments and residents can still use to payment drop box located downtown.

The City of Florence Mayor Andrew Betterton says, "This new facility is a significant step towards improving the efficiency and accessibility of our utility services. We are committed to making Florence a more convenient place to live and do business."

The Drive-Thru Center will feature five drop off lanes and remain open Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
