OWENS CROSS ROADS, Ala. — Food City is expected to open its new location in Owens Cross Roads by late October, although an official date has yet to be announced.
Hiring is underway, with the store seeking both full-time and part-time workers for various positions, including food service, meat cutter, pharmacy technician, cashiers and clerks.
The company is hosting open interviews on Monday, October 7, and Tuesday, October 8, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Cove Church, located at 66 Old Hwy 431, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763.

The Owens Cross Roads store will be a full-size, 60-thousand square foot supermarket that includes a pharmacy, bakery, hot bar, coffee shop and cafe. A fueling station will be in operation adjacent to the parking lot.
