Food Truck & Grill Fest celebrates Juneteenth

Black-owned restaurants and food trucks are celebrating Juneteenth during Black Restaurant Week in Huntsville.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Today and throughout the weekend, black-owned businesses will be hosting events to celebrate the national holiday. Vendors are gathering at Campus 805 for Food Truck and Grill Fest. Lucien Walker, owner of Dat Dude wit the Seafood, is excited about this monumental accomplishment for the community.

"We are looking to see upwards of a couple hundred people out tonight. You know, we've got a couple of performers coming out and it's going to be a great event. Like I said, it's going to be something great for the community to come out, and you know, be a part of," Walker said.
