HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — This weekend has some events to keep in mind! 

The Market at MidCity - Every Sunday until November 10, from noon to 4 p.m., featuring 50 local vendors.

Athens Lions Club Kiddie Carnival - Rides priced at one 50-cent ticket each. The carnival runs Thursday through Saturday evenings until July 27. 

The Music Man - Experience the classic musical comedy "The Music Man". The show is for all ages from July 12 to July 21 at the Von Braun Center Playhouse.

A Journey into Imagimation Exhibit - Showcasing over 100 years of global animation art! Explore this experience at the Huntsville Museum of Art from July 12 to September 29. 

Author/Astronaut Jan Davis at Harrison Brothers - Author and astronaut Jan Davis will be at Harrison Brothers Hardware on Saturday, July 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. This event is free to attend! 

Midsummer Market - Mark your calendars for Nerdy Noel’s Midsummer Market on July 21, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Family Movie Night featuring Kung Fu Panda 4 (Athens) - On Friday, July 19, at 8 p.m. at Athens State University's Founders Hall Lawn. This is a free outdoor event. 

Food Truck Rally at Big Spring Park - Every third Friday from May to October, 5 to 9 p.m., enjoy food trucks, live music, yard games, and fun activities. 

Teen Maker Hour - Teens aged 12 and up can explore hands-on STEAM activities at the Main Museum's Maker Lab every Friday and Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Sensory-Friendly Sundays at EarlyWorks - EarlyWorks Children’s Museum offers a sensory-friendly experience every third Sunday of the month, designed for children with sensory sensitivities or neurodivergence. From noon to 5 p.m. on July 21, families can explore with reduced noise, dim lighting, and limited capacity, supported by resources like sensory bags and noise-canceling headphones. 

Color Jam Family Fun Run - Join the free family fun run/walk at John Hunt Park on Saturday, July 20, from 8 to 11 a.m., where people will get get doused with colored powder and slime. Enjoy giveaways, a dance party, and concessions while showing off your neon accessories.

Fun Fridays with P&L - Fun Fridays with Piper & Leaf, happening every Friday from April 26 to October 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. Enjoy an evening of activities, refreshments, and entertainment each week.

Back to School Bash - Bridge Street is celebrating Alabama’s Tax-Free weekend with a Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Bud Cramer Park & Downtown Cleanup Day - Join Green Team for a cleanup at Bud Cramer Park and surrounding areas on Saturday, July 20, from 8 to 11 a.m. All supplies are provided, and participants of all ages and experience levels are welcome. 

W.C. Handy Music Festival 2024 - The W.C. Handy Music Festival is set to take place from July 19 to July 28, 2024. This weeklong celebration honors the rich musical heritage of northwest Alabama and pays tribute to Florence native W.C. Handy, famously known as the "Father of the Blues."

Karaoke Night and Open House - The Von Braun Center is inviting the community into Mars Music Hall for a free Karaoke Night and Open House on Friday, July 19 at 7 p.m. featuring DJ Bama Boom.
