HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — All Huntsville City Schools students can now receive free meals after the district received new guidance from the United States Department of Agriculture.
The USDA extended flexibility for meal service related to the Child Nutrition Program across the country during the COVID-19 pandemic, including giving permission to schools to serve meals to all children.
Meals are available at all HCS sites to all students, regardless of whether they are attending traditional classes or virtual school.
