HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The League of Women Voters of the Tennessee Valley is working to help people restore their right to vote. Organizers say they've been campaigning after a law passed in 2017 defined a list of crimes that result in loss of voting rights.
Leaders say based on their research, about a quarter of million Alabamians are disenfranchised to vote. They say this program is helpful, even for election officials.
"It's definitely something that's needed, 'cause we're not only educating the public though, we're educating the elections officials that they need to understand and how to get people their rights back too," says
