HOLLYWOOD, Ala — In a official statement released today, the Hollywood Police Department announced the passing of former Police Chief Tommy Upton.
The statement, reads in full:
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of former Chief Tommy Upton. Chief Upton was a friend to law enforcement, and dedicated his life to the service of mankind. As a department, we don’t need to look far to see the impact that Chief Upton had on our community. Chief Upton saved the life of our Assistant Chief Cecil Davis when Cecil was an infant. Chief, thank you for your years of dedicated service. We’ll hold the line from here. Rest easy, sir."
