HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — On Thursday night, hundreds of people gathered at Big Spring Park East 'Praying Together For Change'.
More than thirty churches in Huntsville and Madison were represented at the event. People prayed for city leaders, law enforcement, the government, and the community.
Some people say this event was needed.
"I believe we're here now to deal with the root. To petition God to cut out the hatred, to change hearts and minds and I believe it starts with the church," says Keisha Wilson.
The event was lead by area pastors.
