HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville Animal Services is offering reduced adoption fees from December 21 through December 31 to help its pets find a home for the holidays.
Adoptions will only cost either $5 or $10 during this time period. If you can't adopt a dog, you can still help out with a "Holiday Foster Sleepover" in which you give a precious pup a break from the shelter and an opportunity to socialize with you and your family.
These home visits help provide shelter staff with information about the dog's behavior and preferences to help it be adopted later on.
If you'd like to adopt a pet this holiday, visit the Huntsville Animal Services website to view all the animals up for adoption.
Pet adoptions with Huntsville Animal Services include rabies and other vaccinations, microchipping, a city license tag, spay or neutering and a free bag of pet food while supplies last.
The shelter is located at 4950 Triana Boulevard and is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. On Saturdays, the shelter is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Visit the shelter's Facebook page for up-to-date holiday hours.
