HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — If you're a business affected by COVID 19, there's a new lifeline available.
Facebook is investing $100 million in cash grants and ad credits to help businesses, and some of that money is coming to Huntsville.
According to the program's website, you can use the money to pay workers, help with rent costs, connect with customers, and cover operational costs.
The grants are for small businesses that have between 2 and 50 employees, have been in business for over a year, have experienced challenges from COVID-19, and are in or near a location where Facebook operates. Huntsville is on the list as a new Facebook Data Center is being built there, even though its timeline has been affected by COVID-19.
Grant recipients will receive $4,000 ($2,500 cash, $1,500 in optional ads credits).
