Today marks the beginning of ‘Severe Weather Preparedness Week’ (Feb 16th-21st) in Alabama, and Huntsville Fire & Rescue is urging people to register their storm shelter.
Storm shelters are plotted on maps and enables rescuers to know if a house that is hit by a tornado, has a shelter that someone may be trapped in.
Huntsville, Madison, and other cities in Madison County are able to register.
