Huntsville Hospital limiting visitors due to coronavirus concerns

No more than two visitors are being allowed in patient rooms.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The number of coronavirus cases in the U.S. is rising. One case has been confirmed in Williamson County, Tennessee.

Huntsville Hospital is taking extra steps to make sure their patients are protected.

Right now, no more than two visitors are being allowed in patient rooms. Children under 16 are also not allowed to visit patients.

They are asking that people with a fever, cough, body ache, or sore throat not visit the hospital unless seeking care.

Each visitor is now required to sanitize his or her hands when coming to and leaving the hospital.

The hospital has plans in place to identify and report any potential cases of COVID-19. So far, they have not had to test anyone for COVID-19.
