Huntsville International Airport Expands with new non-stop flight to Los Angeles

The flights start on June 14 and will run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville International Airport has announced the introduction of its 14th non-stop route, offering direct service to Los Angeles, California. Breeze Airways will operate the HSV-LAX route starting June 14 for the summer season. Travelers can anticipate flights twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, with one-way fares starting at $129. Passengers will get to ride on the new Airbus A220 aircraft.

Trey Bentley, Board Chair of the Port of Huntsville, expressed enthusiasm, stating, "This new nonstop service from Huntsville to Los Angeles is an excellent indicator of how well Breeze is doing in the Huntsville community. The addition of HSV to LAX demonstrates Breeze's dedication to serving our market, and they recognize the success they are enjoying here. Breeze Airways is providing our customers with what they’ve been asking for: nonstop air service to desirable leisure destinations at an affordable cost."

Huntsville was strategically chosen as one of Breeze's inaugural cities upon its airline launch in May 2021. Currently, Breeze offers nonstop flights from Huntsville to Las Vegas, Orlando, and Tampa.

“We’re pleased when east meets west, especially when it's a direct connection to Huntsville,” said Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle. “The Rocket City conducts significant business in Los Angeles, and it’s also a great area for leisure travel. Thanks to Breeze Airlines for continuing to invest in Huntsville.”

To celebrate the acquisition of 10 new Airbus A220 aircraft, Breeze is offering a special 20 percent discount on all roundtrip base fares. Travelers can use the code "A220" at checkout on the Breeze app or at flybreeze.com for fares purchased by 11:59pm PT on Feb. 21. The discounts apply to base fares for travel from March 6 through Sept. 3, 2024.

Currently serving 49 cities across the United States, Breeze's A220 aircraft feature 126 seats, including 36 in first class. Passengers accrue BreezePoints for future flights, additional bags, and seat assignments. Flexibility is paramount, with flights amendable or cancellable at no extra charge up to 15 minutes before departure.

Breeze Airways leadership expects strong performance on the Los Angeles route in the North Alabama and South Central Tennessee market. Breeze CEO Tom Doxey expressed confidence, stating, "We anticipate this summer service to be as popular as our flights to Las Vegas, Orlando, and Tampa from HSV."
