Mayor Tommy Battle, Huntsville, Madison leaders to participate in LGBT+ community virtual town hall

According to the event's Facebook page, the aim of the town hall is to learn about what's at stake for the LGBT+ community.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala — An LGBT+ community town hall with Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle and other local leaders is being held Tuesday night from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Joining Mayor Battle will be Frances Akridge and Bill King from the Huntsville City Council; Jocelyn Broer, a candidate for the Madison City Council; Marc Highsmith, a candidate for Madison mayor and Andy Woloszyn, a candidate for Huntsville mayor.

According to the event's Facebook page, the aim of the town hall is to learn about what's at stake for the LGBT+ community.

"We're listening to you, so join us as we take your questions and learn about what's at stake for our community," the page reads.
