HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — If love a good roar, a trip to the Von Braun Center this weekend might make you smile as the world's most popular trucks and trained drivers roar into the Propst Arena. FOX54 caught up with two of the drivers Friday ahead of the big opening night.
Angelina Nock drives the Megalodon Monster Truck, and is the newest driver on this series. "I'm so honored. I am representing my beautiful Mexican culture. I am the first Latina driver of Monster Jam. We have four events. We start today actually at 7:00 [pm]. We have our pit parties that happen on Saturday and Sunday at 1030, and yeah, we're just so excited to be here and get started and have some fun. "
Krysten Anderson drives the Grave Digger Monster Truck, and explained that her dad is actually created Grave Digger back in the 1980s. "So Grave Digger is actually older than Monster Jam. It's over 40 something years old. It's been in my family since the beginning and I'm a second generation Grave Gigger driver. I have two older brothers that also drive Grave Digger. Our dad has since retired from competing. I'm the first and only female that's ever driven Grave Digger and it's a very cool truck to drive. It's easily one of the most recognizable, it's the most iconic and like I said, it's been here for years and years. So some people that are coming out to the event this weekend in Huntsville, they probably watched Grave Digger when they were kids. Now they're bringing their kids out to come and see grave digger."
