HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville Parks & Recreation is offering day camps for Huntsville City Schools students over the district's four, weeklong breaks this school year at the city's recreation centers.
The Parks & Recreation department says the camps will feature affordable, inclusive programming for students in grades K through 6 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
The camps cost $50 per week. For families with more than one child in this grade group, the cost is $50 per week for the first child and $25 per week for each additional child.

Camps will take place on the following dates:
- Fall Break - October 4 to October 8
- Thanksgiving Break - November 22 to November 24
- Winter Break - December 20 to January 4
- Spring Break - March 14 to March 18
“With the success and positive feedback of our free after-school programs, the natural progression is to have camps for students during their school breaks,” said Huntsville Parks & Recreation Director Bernita Reese. “We value the assistance we can provide families that have parents and guardians who work when children are normally in school. We look forward to offering the camps and providing students a variety of programming in a safe and supportive environment.”
