Huntsville Parks & Rec releases Spring Program Guide

As it starts to get warmer outside, you can enjoy everything Huntsville Parks & Rec has to offer.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Spring weather is coming and that means time for more fun with Huntsville Parks & Rec. With over 100 activities, almost all of them free, there's something for every member of the family.

Want to meet a fitness goal? The City’s recreation and community centers provide everything from Zumba classes to Tai Chi classes. Want to get outside? Try mountain biking or group walks . Want to get in on the pickleball craze? There are classes for all ages and skill levels.

For those who love to create, Huntsville Parks & Recreation hosts art classes and embroidery workshops, even a parent-child woodworking clinic. Individuals with disabilities can enjoy free art classes, dance fitness, water aerobics and soccer lessons, and e-gaming, and there's a "RecZone" with activities, sports, and homework help for preteens and teens.

The Spring Program Guide also breaks down traditional and nontraditional athletic offerings. There are pickup games and basketball clinics, kickball and cornhole, boxing and badminton, along with volleyball, soccer, golf, and table tennis.

The guide is a gateway to more than 100 programs, special events and activities, many of which are offered free to the community. From youth programs to activities tailored for adults and seniors, there's something for everyone.
