HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Huntsville Police Department is warning motorists to expect traffic delays and road closures downtown on Monday, Nov. 11, due to the annual Veterans Day Parade.

The parade will follow a new route this year to provide more space and better visibility for spectators. Several streets along the parade route will begin closing in phases at 8 a.m., with all closures in place by 10:30 a.m.

The parade will start at Lot K on Woodson Street Northwest and Holmes Avenue Northwest, ending on Clinton Avenue West near Woodson Street Northwest.

Traffic is expected to return to normal by 2 p.m., after the parade ends. In addition to local road closures, the Interstate 565 exit ramp to downtown Huntsville will also be closed during the event.
