IDER, Ala. — High school football is in full swing, but the schedule for three teams just got an unexpected change.
In a letter to the community, the Ider Community School explained that due to COVID-19, the Ider football team cancelled their games against Tanner (Sept. 11) and Section (Sept. 18).
They also said that homecoming has been moved to October 2 and there will be a community pep rally that day at 2:00 p.m. on the football field. There will be no parade due to DeKalb County Schools' COVID-19 safety measures.
Kate Duncan Smith D.A.R. School also canceled games due to COVID-19 concerns.
