PRICEVILLE, Alabama — Police say one person died in an early morning shooting Sunday.
Priceville officers arrived at a home on Langley Private Dr. around 5:00 a.m., where they found 33-year-old Kimberly Shaun Ricks, a Falkville resident. She had received multiple gunshot wounds.
Police confirmed in a social media post Sunday that Ricks later died of her injuries.
A man at the scene was temporarily detained and later questioned. He has since been released pending further investigation, police said.
"We will have more information in the near future once interviews and evidence processing has concluded," the department said in a statement.
