HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Shopping small is important everyday of the week.
"Shopping small, number one, helps keep the money in the community. And it also helps people that are trying to make a living from their business," said Sherry Caudle, Owner, J Caudle & Co.
"It is important always but now more than ever because so many have been affected by COVID shutdowns, are still being affected my COVID shutdowns," said Bethany Martin, Manager, Green Pea Press.
Those shutdowns are helpful when it comes to flattening the curve but hurtful to small business owners.
"Business is not what it was this time last year, shopping is not what it was this time last year," said Martin.
"I come and sit and maybe I'll be in here or I'll paint. I might be here for three or four hours and not a person walk down the hallway," said Sherry Fanning, Owner & Artist of Modern Pours at Lowe Mill Arts & Entertainment.
Shopping small means the money stays in our community. It also provides a sense of hope.
"I'm having faith that as time goes, I will get through this," said Caudle.
