HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — July 4 is coming, and that means parties, food, and fireworks. Take a look at some of the events coming up in the Tennessee Valley.
4th of July Weekend at MidCity
Live, music, fireworks, a watermelon carving contest, food and beverage specials, and more are at MidCity and The Camp, July 2-4.
Watermelon carving contest information: Bring your CARVED watermelon to The Camp on Sunday, July 4th by 2:00 pm (no carving on-site). The Camp team will take photos of the watermelons and post them online by 2:30/ 3:00 pm. Online votes are tallied and winners will be announced on Tuesday, July 6th at 6:00 pm, The winner will receive over $500 in prizes and gift cards!

Goose Pond Colony Fourth of July Celebration
Goose Pond Colony Resort hosts the 39th Annual Fourth of July Celebration taking place on the banks of the Tennessee River. This is the oldest annual 4th of July celebration held in North Alabama. There's live music, family fun, and a free firework display. The fireworks will be held on Sunday, July 4th, 2021.
The concert starts at 6:00 p.m with fireworks starting at 9:00 p.m.

Spirit of American Family Festival and Fireworks Show
The all-day event at Point Mallard in Decatur offers family games, summertime field competitions, live stage entertainment, unique demonstrations, sports tournaments, a host of food and craft vendors, booming fireworks, talent shows and presentation of the Audi Murphy Patriotism Award.

Athens/Limestone County Fourth of July Fireworks Show
The Athens Limestone Tourism Red, White and BOOM Fireworks Show will be at Athens Middle School at Hwy 31 & Hwy 251 on Sunday, July 4th 2021. Spectators can park around the AHS Stadium, Athens Middle, Swan Creek Park, Sportsplex, etc., to view the show.
Fire and Police Departments to maintain the safety and any assistance the public may need.

Pulaski Independence Day Concert and Fireworks
The annual event will take place at Sharewood Park is set for Thursday, July 1, from 5-10 p.m. the Giles County Honor Guard starting off the festivities at 6:30 p.m. The Rubiks Groove will be playing from 7-9 p.m. and fireworks will begin immediately after the music ends
First Baptist Church Huntsville 4th of July Celebration
FBCHuntsville is hosting a 4th of July celebration on Sunday, July 4, on the east side of the building at 600 Governors Drive SW in Huntsville.
Guest speaker for the afternoon celebration, as well as the morning worship services, is former US Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The afternoon celebration will also include performances by the FBC Sanctuary Choir and FBC Orchestra with patriotic musical selections.
This event is open to the public, and will be a family-friendly gift to the community. There will be ice cream and cold drinks for everyone, as well as games and attractions for children.
