LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. — A Killen man has died following a single-vehicle crash Monday morning in Lauderdale County.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 30-year-old Zachary A. Riley was critically injured when the 2006 Subaru Legacy he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned. Riley, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car.
The crash happened around 11:45 a.m. Monday, about seven miles north of Killen, near the intersection of Lauderdale County 140. Riley was transported to North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, where he later died from his injuries on Wednesday.
Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division are continuing to investigate the incident. No further details have been released at this time.
