MERIDIANVILLE, Ala. — A Madison County barbeque restaurant is closed after sustaining serious damage from a fire.
Managers at the Meridianville LawLers location announced that the restaurant was "tragically destroyed" by Wednesday night's fire, though no one was hurt.
"We are incredibly grateful for the support of the first responders who worked quickly to contain the blaze," they said in a message shared with customers.
That message also indicated that the location -- on US 231/431 at Monroe Road -- would be rebuilt.
A LawLers manager who was back on site Friday morning shared video with FOX54 showing the extent of the damage from the flames, smoke, and water used to put out the fire.
A cause has not yet been determined.
The company's website shows 14 LawLers restaurants across the region, including locations in Huntsville, Madison, Decatur, Athens and Killen. A Lewisburg, Tenn., location is the only one outside of north Alabama.
LawLers traces its barbecue roots to the late 1970s.
