Lawrence County Sheriff's Office looking for church vandals

The New Antioch Church in Lawrence County was vandalized and sheriff's deputies are looking for the suspects.

LAWRENCE COUNTY, ALABAMA, Ala. — The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help with information related to vandalism of a church. 

The Sheriff's Department says:

On Friday, January 21st, 2022, Deputies and Investigators responded to a call at New Antioch Church on County Road 217. Sometime in the prior week the church was broken into and sustained thousands of dollars of damage. 

Sheriff Sanders says the vandals broke windows, TVs, copy machines, and audio/video equipment, overturned bookshelves, and damaged furniture.  

The vandals that broke into the church are facing Burglary and Criminal Mischief charges.
