LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — Looking to work in education? Limestone County Schools is hiring in preparation for the 2021-2022 school year.
The district is hosting a job fair on Monday, May 10 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the new gymnasium at East Limestone High School. They say administrators from all schools, as well as from the transportation and child nutrition program departments, will be on hand to answer questions.

Huntsville City Schools also recently held a career fair. While that's over, you can still apply to work with the district in teaching, Special Education, Child Nutrition, and more.

Florence City Schools is also looking to fill full-time positions ahead of the 2021-22 school year. The district is looking to hire teachers, nurses, child nutrition workers, custodians and maintenance personnel. Information about open positions is available on the district's website.
Governor Kay Ivey recently approved a 2% pay raise for teachers and state employees to be paid annually.
Another change for teachers is a special incentive program that would allow some middle and high school math and science teachers to earn up to an extra $15,000 per year.
