LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — 12/5: The two victims in the plane crash have now been identified as 67-year-old William Huston and 31-year-old Nikul Desai by the Limestone County Coroner.
The F-A-A and N-T-S-B are now investigating.
12/4: Two people were confirmed killed in a plane crash that happened in Limestone County on Monday.
The crash occurred just before noon near 23726 Alabama 127 in Elkmont, just east of Elkmont Rd., according to a statement from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Limestone County Coroner Mike West confirmed the fatalities.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has been notified and is currently responding. Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division are assisting county officials in securing the scene while they await the arrival of National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigators.
Officials were not immediately able to provide details about the type of plane or whether there were other casualties involved.
