HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division is leading inquiries into the discovery of a body near Redstone Arsenal's Easter Posey Recreation Area along the Tennessee River.
According to arsenal officials, the body was found Thursday afternoon.
Authorities have been searching since Wednesday for a man reported missing from the campground. Officials say the man was "in a recreation status" and not affiliated with any installation organization.
The identity of the body has not been confirmed at this time. The Huntsville Police Department is supporting the CID as the investigation carries on.
