Local dry cleaners fill up laundry baskets with food items for Food Bank of North Alabama

Martinizing Dry Cleaning is entering its last week of collecting food items.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — We know hunger never stops, which is why one Huntsville dry cleaners need your help.

"With this pandemic, it could be anyone. My neighbor, your neighbor and it just really touched my heart," says Martinizing Dry Cleaning Owner, Marvinia Adams.

Since March 3, "Martinizing Dry Cleaning" has collected non-perishable food items to support the Food Bank of North Alabama. March 3rd, marked 'National Dry Cleaning Day'.

The business is entering its last week of collecting donations on the wish list. The owner is asking you to help fill up their laundry baskets.

"Yes, we are in our last week. We have two laundry baskets filled. We need you to fill up. I have about ten laundry baskets just at this location alone. So, if we can fill up at least ten laundry baskets we'll be shoutin'," says Adams.

The items will be collected at three locations. "So now you have three convenient locations to clean out your pantry, bring the food to us, and we can help our community," says Adams. 

Items can be donated until March 31st.
