One and three-week tracks help you gain skills to land a job in the construction field.

DECATUR, Ala. — Ready to build your future? Join Calhoun Community College's free 1 or 3-week track and gain the skills to land a job in the construction field! 

Learn to operate skid steers, bulldozers, excavators, asphalt rollers, and even earn a Class B learner's permit if you choose that route. Gain hands-on experience and master heavy equipment operation which will unlock endless job opportunities.

Our heavy equipment only training will be from July 8-12 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You must be 16 years of age or older to participate.

The heavy equipment plus CDL Class B training will run from July 8-26, also from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate and have a Class B learner's permit, base driver's license, DOT physical with medical certificate, and a DOT drug screening. There are only 10 slots available for this course!

Free lunch will be provided in all sessions. Both classes take place at Calhoun's Decatur campus at Workforce Solution Building #8.
