HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville Hospital Health System is ranked among the nation’s best employers by Forbes magazine for the second time.
For its 2024 America’s Best-In-State Employers rankings, Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to survey more than 160,000 Americans working for companies with at least 500 employees.
“HH Health is honored to receive the Forbes Best in State Employer recognition for another year,” said Jeff Samz, CEO of Huntsville Hospital Health System. “We value our employees and strive to provide opportunity and advancement for our staff. They are the heart of our organization and the reason for our accolades and achievements.”
The designation comes driven by employee feedback from across the health system’s 14 hospitals and more than 19,500 employees. Former employees, friends and family of HH employees, and other respondents from within the healthcare industry also contribute to the rankings.
Seventeen Alabama-based businesses made Forbes’ best employers list, including household names in education (Auburn University, the University of Alabama, UAB), aerospace and defense (NASA, Northrop Grumman) and insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama). Among health care providers with headquarters in Alabama, Huntsville Hospital Health System is joined by Infirmary Health of Mobile, the Alabama Department of Public Health, Baptist Health of Montgomery, USA Health of Mobile, and Southeast Health of Dothan.
HH Health was the only North Alabama-headquartered business to make the Forbes list.
“We are grateful for this recognition and will do our very best to continue earning the trust and respect of our workforce,” said Jennifer Holly, Vice President of Human Resources. “Our Health System is so fortunate to have thousands of dedicated employees who care deeply about providing outstanding care with courtesy, kindness, and empathy.” Nearly 1,300 employers landed on Forbes’ America’s Best Employers by State list for 2024.
