LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — UPDATE (9/10/2024) - Jesse Dauwen's bond has been set at $422,500.
A 19-year-old Madison man was arrested Friday on a list of charges including possession of child pornography, electronic solicitation of a minor, and child abuse.
Jail and court records show Jesse James Dauwen remains in the Limestone County Jail as of Sunday afternoon. His online jail record shows 10 counts each possession of child pornography with intent to disseminate and Electronic solicitation of a child; 1 count of aggravated, non-family child abuse; and 1 count of Cruelty to Animals.
FOX54 has reached out to the Limestone County Sheriff's Office and the District Attorney's Office for clarification of those charges.
Court records show two complaints filed with law enforcement alleging Dauwen had in his possession visual depictions of underage girls. The charge for possession of child porn describes the crime in part as "any matter containing a visual reproduction of a person under the age of 17 years engaged in any act of ... sexual conduct."
