MADISON, Ala — UPDATE (7/8): Madison Police confirmed with FOX54 an arrest was made Saturday in the death of 18-year-old Brian Wiggins Jr.
Police say Christopher Saam, also 18, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with the July 3 shooting that claimed Wiggins' life.

Madison police are asking the public for tips in relation to a fatal apparent shooting that took place late Wednesday night. Police responded to a shooting call in the area of Miller Blvd., just north of Old Madison Pike, around 11:30 p.m.
Responding officers found a man on the ground with what they believed were gunshot wounds. The man was quickly taken to Huntsville Hospital, where he later died.
"Madison Police are actively investigating the shooting as a homicide and are following all leads," the department said in a written statement. "This appears to be an isolated incident and there is reason to believe the victim and offender were known to each other.
"Madison Police are asking anyone that may have information about the incident to contact the PD at tellmpd@madisonal.gov or 256-772-5658."
