Local pharmacists making and donating hand sanitizer

Pharmacists at Madison Drugs in Huntsville are donating hand sanitizer to police, firefighters and other emergency responders.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Local pharmacists are doing their part to help the community during the pandemic.

Compounding pharmacists at Madison Drugs in Huntsville are still filling prescriptions all while following social distancing guidelines.

They're also making and donating hand sanitizer to police, firefighters and other emergency responders.

Pharmacist Terry Wingo said, "We want to make sure that no one is living in fear for one thing, and we want to be sure that everyone is able to be protected, particularly those who are out there doing their best to make sure the world is rolling as it's supposed to roll."

They plan to make and donate more hand sanitizer as they get more supplies.
