DECATUR, Ala. — Officials in Morgan County arrested three men as part of a child trafficking sting operation over the weekend. It was a combined effort of the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, Drug Enforcement Unit, Morgan County District Attorney’s Office, US Army Cyber Special Agents and Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.
The purpose of the operation, as Morgan County officials described in their social media post about the activity, "was to identify, investigate, and arrest predators seeking children for sexual acts."
The following people were arrested Friday as a direct result of the operation:
Daytron Shawn Tolliver, 37 of Decatur
Corey DeWayne Wynn Sr, 49 of Decatur
Jeremy Scott Peek, 31 of Danville
All three were charged with electronic solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act
Bond was set at $250,000 apiece.
The operation stems from an ongoing partnership with Covenant Rescue Group, Morgan County officials added. Additional charges are possible.
