COLLINSVILLE, Ala. — Two children were hurt when they reportedly fell off a float during Collinsville High School's homecoming parade, area police confirmed Thursday.
Police said the children, whom they identified as fifth grade students, were riding on the float when they somehow fell off.
The injuries were not life-threatening, police added, but the children were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
It is not confirmed if there will be an investigation following the incident.
Collinsville is about 15 miles southwest of Fort Payne.
