HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ star KeKe Jabbar died due to acute carbon monoxide poisoning, according to a coroner's report obtained by TMZ.
Jabbar passed away in July at the age of 42. The reality TV star's death was announced by blogger Marcella Speaks during a YouTube livestream, and confirmed by TMZ.
The medical examiner's report found a 64% level of carboxyhemoglobin in Jabbar's blood. The chemical forms when carbon monoxide bonds to hemoglobin in the blood. It reportedly sticks 200 times more tightly than oxygen.
For comparison, TMZ's report says, normal levels for a nonsmoker are under 2% and under 5% for smokers. 20% is considered a 'critical' level of carboxyhemoglobin.
The report also found oxycodone and oxymorphone in her system, but stressed that carbon monoxide poisoning was the primary cause of death.
