Madison County offices, including courthouse, reopen Monday, May 4

Offices will be open with special rules for face covering and social distancing.

MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA, Ala. — On Monday, May 4, all Madison County Offices will reopen to the public. This includes the Madison County Courthouse, District offices, and Satellite locations.

Community and recreation centers will remain closed.

The Madison County Tax Assessor and Tax Collector will be available at the Madison County Courthouse and Madison Satellite offices.

Residents and employees entering county facilities must:

  • Wear personal cloth face coverings to enter, and always while in publicly accessible areas of Madison County facilities
  • Sanitize hands upon facility entry prior to security screening
  • Maintain six feet of physical distancing. In instances where physical distancing cannot be maintained (I.e. in elevators) a personal cloth face covering will be required.
  • Follow indicators for six-foot separation where there are lines for service

Madison County continues to maintain a safe environment in all county facilities. These measures include:

  • Continuous cleaning and sanitizing of all entry and exit doors and handles; elevators; hard surfaces including flooring; stair handrails; and bathroom fixtures and facilities
  • Hand sanitizer and soap dispensers
  • Seating that allows for social distancing

Residents are encouraged to use the Madison County website to access information and conduct county business.
