HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Madison County School System has released its full plan to reopen its schools for fall 2020.
They released an update on July 17.
The plan covers how the school system will address COVID-19 spread within schools, help prevent the spread of COVID-19, safely transport students and what courses will look like at different stages of COVID-19 spread, among other topics.

The plan prepares for three levels of spread and has protocols at each level. Level one is when there is minimal spread of COVID-19, level two is when there is moderate spread of COVID-19 and level three is when there is a substantial spread of COVID-19.
At level three, in-person schooling will be shut down.

MCSS will provide students with the option to take classes in person or to enroll in a virtual option at levels one and two, but at level three, only a virtual option will be available. To find out more or to enroll in the virtual option, click here.
