GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — Officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency say a Tennessee man was killed Sunday during a bow fishing trip.
Troopers say the crash happened in Mud Creek on Lake Guntersville. 43-year-old Christopher Gray of Dellrose, Tenn., was a passenger onboard an airboat when it struck a tree limb.
Gray was reportedly thrown into the rear of the boat against the cage surrounding the propeller. Gray was later pronounced deceased on scene.
The operator, identified as a Union Grove man, was uninjured during the collision.
Troopers with ALEA's Marine Patrol Division continue to investigate.
