DOTHAN, Ala. — Global Resources International (GRI) plans to invest $9.5 million in the opening of a new medical manufacturing company in Dothan, Alabama, Gov. Kay Ivey announced on Monday, Oct. 5.
According to Gov. Ivey's announcement, the new company will create 70 new jobs and expand local manufacturing capabilities in Dothan.
“We welcome the decision by Global Resources International to base its innovative new manufacturing center for PPE and other products in Southeast Alabama,” Gov. Ivey said. “This is great news for Dothan because it will create good jobs and provide a solid economic boost for the entire area.”
Secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce Greg Canfield said the state is excited that GRI has chosen Dothan for its newest manufacturing venture.
“The GRI family of companies is a global leader in the development of high-performance protective equipment and technologies to keep workers safe in extreme environments,” Canfield said.
