Milton Frank Stadium ready for kickoff with new turf, bag policy reminders

The first game on it is Thursday and school workers want to remind you about their clear bag policy that started last year.

The wait is over! On Tuesday Milton Frank Stadium’s new turf is ready to be played on.

Huntsville High School players will practice on it Tuesday. It took less than 30 days to put in, which the athletics coordinator says was fast.

The first game on it is Thursday and school workers want to remind you about their clear bag policy that started last year. Your bag has to be see-through. If you have a clutch purse it must be small, about the size of a hand.

“If it gets cold we can bring in blankets, but we’ll have security personnel just to check through things,” said HCS Athletics Coordinator Scott Stapler. “It’s all about safety for the kids and the fans and the players. We just want to make sure that we’re doing everything we can to keep everybody safe.”

He says fans, coaches, and players are all excited about the new season. The new turf will make sure safety comes first.
