MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — UPDATE: Morgan County Sheriff's Office says, "a person called the Courthouse and made the bomb threat. Nothing was located in the initial search."
A bomb threat was reported at the Morgan County Courthouse on Thursday, prompting a swift response from deputies and local police.
Authorities say they are currently securing and searching the area, with a K9 trained in explosive detection deployed to assist in the investigation.
According to a social media post from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the courthouse has been evacuated. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
