MORGAN COUNTY, Alabama — Morgan County is now seeing about a 2% increase in COVID-19 cases each week, but Morgan County leaders say overall, things are going good.
More people are buying tags online allowing fewer people to be in the courthouse.
County officials say face coverings are being enforced at football games after many concerns were brought up at past events.
The Decatur Morgan Hospital says they are busy. Right now, they have 24 patients with COVID-19. Five of them are in the ICU.
To prevent the spread of the virus, the hospital is still limiting the number of visitors allowed inside the buildings.
Decatur Morgan Hospital Chief Nursing Officer, Anita Walden, said, "We feel terrible that they can't visit with each other, but we do everything in our power to take in a phone, an iPad, or something that they can have face to face contact with their families."
Hospital officials are still stressing the importance of wearing a face covering and social distancing when in public.
