In Monday's press conference, Decatur officials said they are getting ready to reopen the economy.
Morgan County Chair Commissioner Ray Long said while the county is currently still in a standstill mode, they are hoping to reopen next Monday.
If they get the green light from Governor Ivey, they have plans to open courthouse doors on May 4th.
"I've asked all of our employees to return today so we can start trying to get ready in case the governor releases. our expected open day for the courthouse. we can't say we're definitely going to but our expected open day is going to be may 4th. we're looking forward to it." said Long.
Chairman Long said they are making adjustments to make sure people can practice social distancing when at the courthouse.
