MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is paying tribute to one of its own. K9 Deputy Emma passed away in her sleep on June 6, following a shift at summer school.
A celebration of Emma's life is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Cotaco school’s cafeteria. The memorial will celebrate her dedicated service as a certified narcotics dog for eight years with Cpl Carrie Bowman and the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office. Emma also served as a school resource officer and therapy dog.
The sheriff’s office invites community members to join them in honoring Emma’s memory and celebrating her contributions to the community.
