MOULTON, Ala. — A Moulton man has been arrested after allegedly shooting one of his in-laws in the head with a shotgun.

Timothy Harville, 58, of County Road 160 in Moulton was arrested for the murder of Angela Berryman Hill Harville.

The suspect and the victim were in-laws, according to officials' description of the incident.

According to witnesses, Timothy Harville went to Angela Berryman Hill Harville's home on the evening of September 13, where an argument started. The circumstances and content of the argument are not clear at this point in the investigation.

Witnesses also say that Timothy pointed a shotgun at Angela and shot her in the head.

Timothy Harville is being held in the Lawrence County Jail with no bond pending an Aniah’s Law hearing.

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Office says Timothy has a history of violent behavior; in December of 2022, he was arrested for shooting into an occupied dwelling/vehicle and two counts of reckless endangerment. Harville was out of jail on bond for that incident.

The case remains under investigation.

Aniah's Law covers the right to bail, and is meant to deny bail to violent offenders. The law was named after Aniah Blanchard, who was kidnapped from a convenience store in October of 2019. Her body was found a month after her disappearance. The man accused of the crime, Ibraheem Yazeed, has pleaded not guilty to charges of capital murder.

The issue was placed on the 2022 ballot and passed with 80% of voters in favor of the measure.
